It was the first time in a few years having a stand at an exhibition at last week’s Lancashire Business Expo with the Shout Network and my, what a return it was! Our feet and voices just about lasted the day, heading home for a well-deserved rest with a cold drink after we had packed up. We were definitely out of practise, but it was like riding a bike, we soon got back into the swing of things.
Being alongside stands from the same network meant that we could even chat about all things print, before and after the event. Lots of existing clients came to see us and we had a lovely catch up with them, we also took the opportunity to update them on products which are new to the market. There were even more potential clients who came to ask us about what we do and how we could help them, so it was a really successful event for us. We even had a visit from Aaron Willis who had been a contestant on The Apprentice – cue photo opportunity!
We took photos whenever we had the opportunity to keep our social media followers up to date and to thank our clients for visiting, by tagging them in. The Shout Network and members shared and retweeted our posts to encourage even more visitors, making it a great piece of teamwork, upping our outreach. Exhibitions are great not only for physical contact, but also for social media interaction.
Rather than taking our tradition pop up exhibition stand, that everyone knows that we do, we took a few different displays to inspire visitors, including one inviting people to ask us about our work with zombies – that’s not just a Monday morning, pre-coffee thing!
Keep an eye on our social media for when and where you could catch us at our next exhibition, maybe even come and ask us about zombies.
